Board-Certified Naturopathic Medical Doctor

30 Years of Clinical Practice.
One Unwavering Mission.

I became a functional medicine physician because conventional medicine failed the patients I cared about most. This is the story of why I do this work — and what I have learned in three decades of treating the root causes that everyone else missed.

The Turning Point

The Moment Everything Changed

For the first twelve years of my medical career I gave patients the same advice I had been taught in medical school and repeated to myself every day: eat less, move more, load up on whole grains and avoid fat. I followed it religiously and still gained nearly 100 pounds while watching my own patients stay stuck. That experience forced me to re-examine everything I thought I knew about metabolism, hormones, and midlife health.

What I discovered is that midlife symptoms are rarely random. They follow predictable physiological cascades — patterns I now call archetypes. After more than thirty years in clinical practice I built a structured clinical intelligence platform that does what no generic quiz or chatbot can: it quickly identifies which archetype best matches your symptoms, explains the actual mechanisms at work, and routes you to precise, evidence-based next steps inside the LCHPMF framework I use with my own patients.

The platform is not here to replace a doctor or hand out diagnoses. It is designed as a highly intelligent digital front-end that closes the gap between how you feel and what your body is actually signaling. Whether you need nutrition guidance, targeted supplements through professional dispensaries, functional lab interpretation, or a direct consultation with me, the system carries clinical context from the first question all the way through to the solution.

This is the same reasoning I use every day in practice — now made available at scale so you can finally understand what's driving your symptoms and take control of your health.

Clinical Philosophy

What I Believe About Medicine

The Body Wants to Heal

Given the right environment — the right hormones, the right nutrients, the right sleep, the right movement — the human body has an extraordinary capacity for self-repair. My job is not to fix the body. My job is to remove the obstacles that are preventing the body from fixing itself.

Symptoms Are Messages, Not Problems

When a woman comes to me with fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, and anxiety, those are not four separate problems requiring four separate prescriptions. Those are four symptoms of one underlying pattern — usually hormonal imbalance, metabolic dysfunction, or both. Find the pattern. Address the root. The symptoms resolve.

Patients Deserve the Truth

Not the comfortable truth that says 'your labs are normal, you're fine.' The real truth: 'Your labs are normal by conventional standards, but they are not optimal. Here is what I see, here is what it means, and here is what we can do about it.' Patients can handle the truth. What they cannot handle is being dismissed.

Education Is the Most Powerful Medicine

The most powerful thing I can give a patient is not a prescription — it is understanding. When a patient understands why they feel the way they feel, they become an active participant in their own healing. They make better choices. They stay consistent. They get better results. This is why I teach. This is why I write. This is why I built this AI.

Trademarked Clinical Framework

The LCHPMF Framework™

After 30 years of clinical practice, I developed a nutritional framework specifically engineered for hormonal and metabolic health in patients aged 40-70. LCHPMF — Low-Carbohydrate, High-Protein, Moderate-Fat — is not a diet. It is a hormonal communication protocol. Every meal is a signal to your endocrine system.

LC

Low-Carbohydrate

50-100g of carbohydrates daily from whole-food sources. Refined carbohydrates, sugar, and grains are eliminated. This single change reduces fasting insulin, the upstream driver of nearly every hormonal disruption in middle-aged adults.

HP

High-Protein

1 gram per pound of ideal body weight daily. Protein is the master macronutrient — most patients are severely under-eating it. Protein preserves muscle mass, supports glucagon secretion, and reduces insulin secretion relative to carbohydrates.

MF

Moderate-Fat

Olive oil, avocado, butter, ghee, coconut oil, and fatty fish. Seed oils — canola, soybean, corn, sunflower — are eliminated entirely. Healthy fats provide the raw material for steroid hormone synthesis. Cholesterol is the precursor to every steroid hormone your body makes.

Clinical outcomes: The LCHPMF framework consistently achieves fasting insulin below 5 µIU/mL, improved Free T3 conversion, reduced estrogen dominance, restored testosterone levels, and significant reduction in inflammatory markers within 90 days of consistent implementation.

The Hormonal Blueprint
by Dr. Jay Wrigley, NMD
A comprehensive clinical guide to the complete hormonal network — thyroid, adrenal, sex hormones, insulin, and the gut-hormone axis.
Published Work

Why I Wrote The Hormonal Blueprint

I wrote The Hormonal Blueprint because I wanted every person — not just my patients — to have access to the framework that has transformed the lives of thousands of people I have worked with.

The hormonal network is not complicated once you understand it. It follows logical, predictable patterns. When you learn to read those patterns, you gain a level of insight into your own health that no conventional physician has ever given you.

The book is not about hormones as isolated molecules. It is about hormones as a communication system — the language your body uses to regulate every function, from metabolism to mood to immunity to cognition. When that communication system breaks down, everything breaks down. When you restore it, everything improves.

Supplement Philosophy

My Six Supplement Principles

Before I discuss any supplement, I need to be clear about the hierarchy: food is always first. Supplements supplement a good diet — they do not replace it. That said, in the modern world, targeted supplementation is not optional for most people.

01

Test, Don't Guess

Before recommending supplements, I test. I want to know your actual vitamin D level, your magnesium status, your omega-3 index, your B12. Supplementing blindly wastes money and can cause imbalances.

02

Quality Matters Enormously

The supplement industry is largely unregulated. Third-party testing is non-negotiable. I source exclusively from professional physician dispensaries — XYMOGEN through Wholescripts, and specialized compounds (Bezwecken, Apex Energetics, Designs for Health, Priority One) through my Fullscript physician account. These are not available in retail stores.

03

Form Determines Bioavailability

Magnesium oxide is poorly absorbed. Cyanocobalamin (cheap B12) is inferior to methylcobalamin. The form of the nutrient determines its effectiveness. This is where most supplements fail.

04

Timing Is a Clinical Variable

Fat-soluble vitamins (D, K, A, E) with meals containing fat. Magnesium at bedtime. Adaptogens in the morning. B vitamins in the morning. Iron away from calcium and thyroid medication. Timing is not optional.

05

Supplements Work Best as Part of a System

A supplement protocol not supported by good sleep, stress management, and anti-inflammatory nutrition will underperform. Supplements are the finishing layer, not the foundation.

06

More Is Not Better

I see patients taking 20-30 supplements and feeling no better. Targeted, evidence-based supplementation is more effective than a shotgun approach. Start with the foundation. Add targeted support based on testing and symptoms.

WHY I USE TWO PROFESSIONAL DISPENSARIES

Clinical Precision Over Convenience

I don’t choose dispensaries for convenience. I choose them for clinical precision.

WHOLESCRIPTS — XYMOGEN

XYMOGEN is one of the few professional-grade manufacturers that consistently meets the highest third-party testing and quality standards in the industry. Their facilities are NSF-certified, GMP-compliant, and regularly audited for purity, potency, and label accuracy. Every raw material is tested for heavy metals, microbial contamination, and identity verification before it enters production. Finished products undergo stability testing to guarantee potency through expiration.

I have used XYMOGEN as the foundation of my protocols for over 30 years precisely because their formulations are designed for clinical results, not retail shelf appeal. They do not sell to the public, to Amazon, or through retail channels. This exclusivity allows them to maintain rigorous professional standards that consumer brands simply cannot match.

FULLSCRIPT — SPECIALIZED COMPOUNDS

Fullscript is the leading professional dispensary platform in North America for one simple reason: it was built exclusively for licensed practitioners. It gives me direct access to over 300 professional brands — including Bezwecken, Designs for Health, Apex Energetics, and Priority One — with strict verification that every product is sold only through verified physician accounts.

Unlike consumer-facing platforms or retail supplement sites, Fullscript maintains practitioner-only pricing, detailed product monographs, and professional-grade quality controls. It does not allow public access or third-party reselling. This ensures that when I recommend a specialized formula through Fullscript, the patient receives the exact professional product I intended — not a diluted or retail version.

I use both Wholescripts and Fullscript because no single dispensary carries every clinically superior option. This dual approach allows me to select the best formula for each patient’s specific pattern rather than limiting myself to one supplier’s catalog. Every product you receive is dispensed through my licensed accounts — never retail versions, never third-party resales.

A Personal Note

What I Want for Every Person Who Finds This Work

I want you to understand your body. Not in a superficial way — not just "eat less, move more." I want you to understand the hormonal patterns that are driving your symptoms. I want you to understand why your fatigue is not laziness, why your weight gain is not weakness, why your anxiety is not a character flaw. These are biological patterns with biological solutions.

I want you to feel empowered. Not dependent on a physician for every decision, but equipped with the knowledge to make informed choices about your own health. To know what labs to ask for. To know what the results mean. To know what interventions are most likely to help.

And I want you to feel hopeful. Because in 30 years of practice, I have never seen a patient who could not improve. The body's capacity for healing, when given the right support, is extraordinary. Whatever you are dealing with — the fatigue, the weight, the hormonal chaos, the brain fog, the anxiety — there is a path forward. There is always a path forward.

That is why I do this work. That is why I built this AI. And that is why I will never stop teaching.
